CECIL RAJENDRAN IS MALAYSIA

    Cecil Rajendran is Malaysia's best known poet, writer, lawyer, crusader for human rights but he is much more than that: he is a committed to awakening people to the social evils that besets ( weighed dawn ) his country and the world in general. His poems have been internationally acclaimed ( much admired ), but in Malaysia he is a highly controversial figure with as many detractors ( attackers / enemies ) as admires. Cecil Rajendra was born in Penang but he spent the better part of his childhood in Tanjoin Tokong. Rajendra received his education at St. Xavier's Institution, University of Singapore and Lincoln's Inn (London).
